Consistent smooth scrolling for in-page links (section jumps) across Safari and mobile
Naoto Tsurumura
Request:
On ClickFunnels pages, please improve the scrolling behavior for in-page links (section jumps) so it feels consistently “smooth” across major environments—desktop and mobile, Safari and Chrome.
Background / Problem:
Right now, the perceived scroll behavior differs significantly by browser/device. In particular, on Safari-based environments (Mac Safari, iPhone Safari, and iPhone Chrome), the scroll movement feels too fast, making it easy for users to lose track of where they landed. This can lead to confusion such as “Did it move?” or “Where am I now?”, which hurts UX on long pages.
Observed differences (example):
- Mac Chrome: relatively smooth and natural
- Mac Safari / iPhone Safari / iPhone Chrome: feels too fast; users can lose the destination section
Acceptance criteria (goal):
- In Safari (Mac/iPhone) as well as other major browsers, in-page section jumps should scroll at a pace users can visually follow (smooth, not instant/too fast).
- The behavior should be consistent across desktop and mobile, without large environment-dependent differences.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a page in ClickFunnels.
2) Add a button (or link) configured to jump to a section within the same page.
3) Click it on different environments (Safari/Chrome, desktop/mobile).
4) On Safari-based environments, the jump can feel too fast and the destination can be difficult to recognize.
